- Parent phone: The phone you set up TimesHero on. It holds your parent PIN and your pass. It is the phone you use for the Parent Dashboard.
- Child’s tablet: A tablet or phone that belongs to your child. You link it to your parent phone with a pairing code.
- Parent PIN: A 4-digit number that keeps children out of the parent area.
- Parent Dashboard: The parent area. You see each child’s progress, and you open Settings and Upgrade from here.
- Profile: One child’s page in the app: first name, school year, hero and progress.
- Hero companion: A pet hero that grows as your child learns.
- Free plan: What you get without paying: times tables 1, 2 and 5, one child profile, and a few daily games.
- Lifetime Pass: A one-time payment that opens all 12 tables, up to 4 profiles, no daily limits, a child’s own tablet and hosting live battles.
- License key: The code that looks like HERO-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. It switches on the Lifetime Pass. Keep it private.
- Pairing code: A 6-digit code that links a child’s tablet to your parent phone. It works for 10 minutes, once.
- Quest map: The child’s home screen, with four areas and the times tables as stepping stones.
- Learn: Step 1 for every table. It walks through the 12 facts in order.
- Mastery Test: A test of 12 facts where every answer must be right and quick. Passing five of them earns a crown.
- Crown: The mark that a table is truly learned.
- Chest: A reward in each area. Silver for learning the tables, gold for crowning them.
- Stars: Rewards from practising. Children use them to feed their hero.
- Rested: A table that has paid out its daily rewards. It can still be practised, but earns no Stars until the next day.
- Backup file: A file you save from Settings. It is the only way to move your children’s progress to a new phone.
- Backup Reminder: A monthly box on the Parent Dashboard that asks you to save a backup.
- Live battle: A 60-second duel between two children on two devices.
- Solo Sparring: A battle against the computer. It is free for everyone.
- Room code: A 6-character code for a live battle. It works for 10 minutes.

- Master Device and Child Device: Labels on the first screen. They mean the parent phone and the child’s tablet.
- Quick-Pair code: Another name for the pairing code.
- Sifir: The Malay word for a times table. “Learn Sifir 7” means “Learn the 7 times table”.
- Box 1 to Box 5: The steps of the ladder for a table. Box 5 is the top, and it earns the crown.
- Premium Lifetime Hero: A hero that needs the Lifetime Pass.
- Secondary device: A child’s linked tablet.
